Role Overview:

We are looking for an exceptional Key Account Development Manager with experience in the Healthcare and/or Education sector to help drive the Rockwool Group’s market share in the UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be expected to plan and implement the structured development of business relationships with key decision makers in the Healthcare and Education sectors, and by doing so capture profitable business through providing products, systems and services relating to the building envelope that meet the clients needs.

This is a brand new position, created to support the delivery of our group-wide strategic aims as we enter an exciting period of growth, and offers the right person a fantastic opportunity for career development with a global brand. Reporting the Key Account Director you will play a critical role in ensuring our ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and map out the key decision making executives, bodies or committees responsible for the planning, investment, specification and delivery of buildings in the relevant target segment/s.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key players within the relevant target segment/s on behalf of the Rockwool Group in order to deliver the benefits and value of a total Rockwool Group offering.
  • Communicate with & convince key stakeholders on the key differentiators of the Rockwool Group’s services and characteristics. 
  • In addition to identifying the key contacts, identify their supply chains and other requirements to ensure the Group is ‘strongly embedded’ in all relevant target organisations.  Evaluate the relationships based on the yield of sustainable sales growth.
  • Research, develop, propose and implement the relevant segment business plan in conjunction with the relevant Commercial Directors.
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and identify/improve processes to efficiently translate specifications gained into delivered sales for the Rockwool Group. 
  • Provide strong segment expertise internally to enable all support functions (e.g. Marketing, Logistics) to develop offerings and solutions which represent winning propositions to support the growth of business in the relevant sector/s.
  • Investigate and participate in relevant forums / trade fairs / trade associations and to keep ahead of the changes, trends and legislative developments within the relevant sector/s.

 The right candidate:

  • Successful candidates will have experience in a similar role within a blue chip company. You will have a strong track record of developing key account relationships and networking at senior level with relevant stakeholders within the Healthcare and/or Education sector/s.
  • You will be fully conversant with the mechanics & structure of influential bodies within the Healthcare and/or Education sector/s.
  • You will have advanced selling skills with a strong knowledge of Key Account methodologies.
  • Articulate and professional, you will have superb communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage people across internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • You will able to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels (particularly Board level) in order to leverage best possible outcomes for the Rockwool Group.
  • Self motivated and driven, you will demonstrate a strong track record of previous commercial success.
  • You must be a pro-active and independent leader with the ability to develop and drive the strategy within your sector/s.
  • Solution focused with a strong technical aptitude, you will have the ability to translate client needs into deliverable solutions.
  • Experience/knowledge of the construction industry would be advantageous.
